The course is an Out-and-Back route starting at the Blue Hill Fire Station, going up Water Street to Main Street, then down Parker Point Road. 

FUNDRAISING MISSION

Entry Fees from the Acadia Council’s 5K for Affordable Housing will be matched by the Maine Association of REALTORs Foundation and then donated to local non-profit organizations. Last year’s recipients included:

Families First seeks to break the cycle of homelessness by equipping families with minor children the skills they need to gain self-sufficiency.
Next Step Domestic Violence Project provides emergency shelter.
Friends in Action empowers older adults and people living with disabilities to live independently in their own homes.
Hancock County Habitat for Humanity partners with economically disadvantaged families to build simple, decent homes.
H.O.M.E.’s Emmaus Shelter provides a safe and comfortable environment for homeless men, women and families in need of temporary shelter who are willing to work towards ending their homelessness.
Beth C. Wright Cancer Center through education programs helps reduce cancer risks in homes.
Acadia Homes for Students helps students who are unable to live with their families or whose families are in need to minimize financial concerns so that students can stay enrolled and actively attending school.
